Moin,
"Both Da-Lite's High Contrast Da-Mat and Stewart's GrayHawk materials were specifically developed to increase the black-level performance of LCD and DLP projectors, which is clearly inferior to that of a CRT projector. There is no question that you'll get better performance from an LCD or a DLP projector if you use one of these new screen materials. They are ideal for LCD projectors of all types and DLP projectors that are based on 4:3 DMD chips with an 800-by-600 or a 1024-by-768 resolution. The new 1280-by-720 resolution 16:9 DMD chip has a black border around it and exhibits much better black-level performance than its 4:3 siblings; therefore, it performs well with 1.3 low-gain screen that are ideally suited for use with CRT projectors. As far as color and resolution, the new negative-gain screens won't negatively affect these perfromance parameters."
